It seems very likely if they made a Battlefront 3 and adapted the new game to it and take inspiration from the original Battlefronts.
Looking at past games and what Battlefront 2 became. Even though the new Squadron is going to be kind of nostalgic. If they put more effort into ship battles in Battlefront, they could have easily included a Squadron game in certain modes. Then Battlefront came out with the ship combat mixed with an in-depth story and ground combat. Even though in the past, Stars Wars: Squadron games were great Star Wars games.
